DLC Leaked - Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt
Posted by: Zer0 - 12-14-2012 3:37 PM - Replies (7)

The next DLC has been leaked in the same fashion as the previous two [As trophies in the PSN from the latest patch yesterday]– Gearbox confirmed the next DLC Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt is being released early next year.

Personally I am excited as all hell, it is no surprise that Sir Hammerlock is one of my favorite characters in the series. Not much else has been revealed aside from the trophies for finishing quests including “Fall of Nakayama”.
A few things I’d like to recap here. This is the 3rd of 4 confirmed campaign add-ons.

What about the rumours of what the 6th vault hunter will be? Or the level cap increase?

I will keep this updated when more information comes out, until then, happy hunting.

Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage DLC Announced
Posted by: Glitch - 11-16-2012 1:00 PM - Replies (30)

Get ready, fellow Hunters. Gearbox just announced its 2nd (or 3rd if you count Premier Club as the first) promised DLC add-on package has been announced for release on November 20th, 2012.

It boasts to add what the previous DLC added: new guns, enemies, customizations, and a new area. Kinda excited to see what kind of new stuff will be added. Probably more Torgue guns. Woo.
It kind of reminds you of Moxxi's DLC but more manly in a way. And is it just me or does Mr. Torgue look like Saxton Hale from TF2? Huh. No wonder he builds exploding ammo.

As with all DLC packs, it's $9.99/800 MSP for PS3 and 360 respectively, or free with the Season Pass ($30).

Are you gonna download it? I know I will. Season Pass rocks!

Official Borderlands 2 Map App (iOS / Android)
Posted by: Glitch - 10-18-2012 5:10 PM - Replies (5)

Yep, there's finally an app for Borderlands in the form of a "map app" and is available on iOS and Android for $2.99 and $3.01 respectively.

This app was developed by Dorling Kindersley of Brady Games and supports icons showing hidden stuff not shown in the game such as chests, Cult of the Vault locations, ECHO receivers, and so much more. This can be a lot of help for those who want to find all there is to find and even some stuff you never thought was there.

That is all.

Gearbox Announces "Captain Scarlett and her Pirate Booty" DLC
Posted by: Glitch - 10-12-2012 7:06 PM - Replies (4)

Greetings! Paradox here.

It appears Gearbox has recently announced the first of four upcoming add-on DLC packages for Borderlands 2.

That must be Cap'n Scarlett. Hot.

Quote:Available for download on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 beginning next Tuesday, October 16, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty is the first of the four add-on campaigns announced for Borderlands 2 and will be available for $9.99 / 800 Microsoft Points by itself or as part of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass which bundles all four campaign add-ons for $29.99 / 2400 Microsoft Points.

This looks like it'll be interesting, definitely a fresh idea. Imagine riding a flying pirate ship and possibly new bandits to headshot. Definitely worth some research to see what's all added in it.

What do you guys think? Is this worth getting or will you pass till the next one is announced?

  Mechromancer Class is Now Available
Posted by: Glitch - 10-09-2012 5:35 PM - Replies (1)

According to Gearbox president, Randy Pitchford's, latest tweet, the fifth playable class is now available - a week ahead of schedule!

Gaige the Mechromancer is Pandora's newest Vault Hunter. Decked out with powerful skills and the accompaniment of a giant robot partner named Deathtrap, this half-human half-robot chick can kick some serious ass. She reminds me of a steampunk Mordecai.

Those who preordered get her for free as part of the Premier Club while those who didn't can still buy the add-on for a sweet $9.99/800 MSP on PSN and Xbox Live, respectively.

Let us how Gaige plays and if she's as good as they say. See you in-game, hunters!

Update: I have bought the Premier Club DLC and created a Mechromancer; my opinion of her is very positive. I can very well say she is quite a lot of fun to play as, despite being a girl. Deathtrap comes in very handy, as well, when being swarmed with bandits and especially Badasses. Too bad it has a time limit before it has to recharge.

I highly recommend you try out this class. You will be pleasantly surprised.

  New Theme
Posted by: Glitch - 10-06-2012 2:48 PM - Replies (2)

Hey guys, Paradox here.

As you've probably noticed, we have a new theme installed. It is a darker theme than the previously-installed one and may be a bit to take in but personally I think it looks great. It definitely fits the gaming niche nicely and it looks really cool to boot. I'll try to find a way to "dirty" it up to fit the theme of Borderlands.

For those who enjoyed using the old white-and-orange (light) theme, I'm sorry to say but I've removed it from the board. I've been mostly editing the current dark theme more and think we should stick to this one. If you think this was in error and wish for it to return, let me know here.

That's all for now.

  Welcome, Hunters!
Posted by: Glitch - 09-29-2012 10:37 PM - Replies (10)

Welcome to the Vault Hunters Community!

Hi there, I'm Paradox, the creator of Vault Hunters. Let me be the first to welcome you to the soon-to-be #1 Borderlands community site on the Web next to Gearbox. Sure, we're nothing like their site; we're just a collection of fans who want to share their love and fandom for Borderlands and possibly meet new friends to co-op with.

We're still relatively new on the Internet, but, with time, we'll grow and become popular within the fanbase. We'd like to take the time to thank Randy and the Gearbox staff for making such an engaging and super-popular multi-platform FPS/RPG game to our populace. Our gratitude knows no bounds.

Go play Borderlands 2! It's addicting as hell!
